Agriculture and Livestock
Agriculture is where Agscent was born, and where its commercial products are most mature. But the story is not about farming. It's about what precision sensing can do when it's affordable and practical enough to deploy at scale.
Livestock producers have long faced two stubborn challenges: determining the reproductive and health status of individual animals without physical intervention, and measuring on-farm methane emissions with enough accuracy, affordability, and practicality to act on the data. Both problems have the same answer: read the breath.
Agscent Air measures individual animal methane emissions with laboratory-grade accuracy in real-world conditions. Agscent Breath detects pregnancy from 18 days post-conception in under 60 seconds. Disease detection is in active validation. Agriculture is the foundation. The platform reaches far beyond it.

Human Health
Breath is rich with metabolic and immune signals, volatile biomarkers for infection, disease, and physiological state that current diagnostics ignore because the tools to read them have been too large, too slow, and too expensive. Agscent's nanosensor platform changes that equation.
The NASA technology that underpins our livestock diagnostics was originally developed for Mars mission astronaut health monitoring — and NASA has already published research demonstrating it can detect COVID-19 signatures in human breath.
Human health is the horizon we are already moving toward.

Animal Health
Biology doesn't respect species boundaries. The volatile signatures of pregnancy, disease, and metabolic stress exist across the animal kingdom. Agscent's system is designed to read them wherever they appear.
Cattle are the first commercial application. But the same architecture that detects bovine pregnancy can be retrained for ketosis in dairy cows, DKA in cats and dogs, respiratory disease in horses, avian influenza in poultry, and metabolic disorders in swine. The AI model changes. The hardware stays the same.
We are actively developing applications across equine, avian, swine, and companion animal health. The animal health market is not one sector. It's every sector.

Biosecurity
The next pandemic will not announce itself. Neither will the next outbreak of foot-and-mouth disease, avian influenza, or African swine fever. What these threats have in common is that they produce molecular signatures, chemical changes detectable in breath and air, before clinical symptoms appear.
The question is whether sensing technology is sensitive enough, fast enough, and practical enough to catch them at the border, the facility, the abattoir. Agscent's system operates at parts-per-billion sensitivity, delivers results in under 60 seconds, and is designed for point-of-need deployment.
Early detection is not a nice-to-have in biosecurity. It is the entire game. We are at proof-of-concept stage for biosecurity-specific applications and are actively seeking government and institutional partners to accelerate development.

Greenhouse Gas Monitoring
Methane is far more potent than CO₂. Until recently, there was no practical way to measure emissions from individual animals in real-world conditions. Agscent Air changed that.
Now deployed across farms in Australia, the United States, and Japan, the platform delivers continuous, validated methane and CO₂ measurement verified against established industry standards.
But livestock are only part of the emissions picture. Significant sources also exist in manure storage, intensive pig and poultry housing, anaerobic digesters, and food processing environments. These settings require reliable, continuous monitoring for compliance, safety, operational efficiency, and carbon reporting, often in harsh conditions.
Agscent Air is built for exactly these environments. Measurement makes the invisible visible, and accountability possible.
